The Clark Fork River – Romantic Whitewater!
Everyone Once-In-A-While, We Get An Email Or Phone Call That Makes Us Stop. It Makes Us Thankful For What We Do, For The River And For The Awesome Guests We Have At Pangaea. I Hope This Letter Touches You The Way It Touched All Of Us At Pangaea River Rafting…
OUR RIVER RAFTING ADVENTURE WAS BEYOND WHAT WE EXPECTED. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!
John, who was forced into this, (I gave him three choices to choose from: zip-line, bunging jumping & this), knowing he is deathly afraid of heights so he had no choice but to pick river rafting. I am very good at strategy to get all my guys to think they had a voice in decisions when I want something. And guess who is rounding up the group to do this next year? Yup, that would be John! Our sons who are 32 (Ian), 26 (Cody) & 25 (Seth) are in for sure along. Our oldest who is up for big adventures wants to come when the river is crazy in the spring. We were at Deer Park Bowl last night (Seth works there) & all “my boys” are on leagues & we rounded up a few more couples to come with next year. I am SO So excited to plan an every year adventure which I hope will become another of our “Henkel family outings”. Beware….all of us together is…well…let’s just say we will give you a Henkel experience.
BROOKE, YOU MADE OUR DAY.
You are an awesome guide & we were fortunate to have a fun group of people to share it with. It was a very beautiful ride & we can’t stop talking about it or watching the DVD & showing it to friends/family The word is out over in our neck of the woods & so many people are not even aware of this type of fun. I myself have always talked about this & when I saw it on Groupon, I was in. We enjoyed meeting the other couples in our group & had fun afterwards playing volleyball with the other family in Mandella’s group. It was awesome that Mandella & Neil joined in. More fun!!!
THE RIVER’S EDGE RESORT, ALBERTON, MT
We spent that night up @ The River’s Edge which was peaceful by the river & we sat outside our motel till the sun went down. We had the best steak/dinner (and we are steak people which I believe makes us certified judges) in years. Just add a couple of Huckleberry Martini’s and we were set (and I don’t drink so I was a cheap date). And yes….we shared the day with many people there, even locals who never have been. We told them to pick Pangaea River Rafting because of what an awesome experience we had. When we stopped to eat at the river, we saw some other groups & they didn’t look like they were having much fun. Must of had a dud of a guide, ya’ think?
A SPECIAL MEMORY…
We took a different way home thru Missoula, Flathead Lake & up to Glacier National Park & back thru Sandpoint, Idaho. As we were nearing the home-run stretch, I heard John tell me that this was the best time we have had in ages. And after 39 years together, it was music to my ears. He thanked me, told me how much he loves me & how fortunate he was to have me to share his life with & how blessed we are. He told me that I made a wonderful memory for him choosing this river rafting trip. How blessed that we had a wonderful guide & the people we rafted with were fun. And what did I do? I kissed him & told him that he was welcome AND THEN….I deposited this all into my “special memory bank” so someday I could withdraw when needed. (John does not know about this “special bank” I have but it sure is handy at times). lol
AGAIN, THANK YOU SO MUCH. HOW GREAT IS IT WHEN YOU DO LEAVE BORING BEHIND.
Terri & John Henkel from Deer Park, WA. Rafting date: 8/24/2012
